With our community, we are gearing up to provide more Christmas Hampers this year and we welcome your volunteer support!

How you can help

1. Fundraising in your workplace

It is easy to incorporate fundraising into the workplace. If you are running social events or hosting Christmas parties, gold coin donations can be given, cake sales, auctions or even an appeal box for the month at your reception or ‘water cooler’ space, are all great ways to easily contribute.

For the Christmas Food Appeal, create a space for donated food items to be dropped off and arrange delivery to DIVRS. You have license to be creative at this time of the year, so inspire others to think differently about their weekly groceries leading up to your appeal, perhaps they can add items to their shop?

2. Volunteer your time

If you have staff that want to volunteer, refer them directly to the contact below, or create a team to support your Christmas Food Appeal.

Packing of Hampers takes place on Thursday 4 December 2014. Register your interest with our Volunteer Programme Leader.

Contact: Sally Mendes, Volunteer Programme Leader, 9480 8215, vrp@divrs.org.au

3. Financial donations

Donations during the Christmas Appeal period will ensure that the Food Bank service continues beyond Christmas for people living in hardship and poverty in Darebin and such gifts over $2 are tax deductible, receipts can be provided.

Go to the Programmes Tab above and see more information on all our programmes and services available. We look forward to working with you soon!
